Museum Director: Buddy Hoelzeman
Buddy Hoelzeman is a native of Morrilton, Arkansas and a graduate of Sacred Heart High School and of Little Rock Vocational School. He joined the staff of the Museum of Automobiles as an accountant in 1966 and was promoted to office manager in 1968. Buddy remained in that position until 1975 when the museum was closed and the cars were sold. In 1976, he was instrumental in re-opening the museum as a non-profit, tax-exempt organization and continues to serve as executive director.
Buddy has worked with the Mid-America Old Time Automobile Association (MOTAA) in building up and hosting the annual antique auto show and swap meet since 1968. This show and swap meet is hosted annually in June on the museum grounds.
Buddy is married to the former "Tootsie" DeSalvo and they have three sons: Tommy, Mark, and Alan; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
